Questions to Ask When Looking For A Venue

If you’re feeling overwhelmed with finding your wedding venue, save this post for future reference. We’ve come up with some important questions, and a few answers, to ask when you’re searching for your ideal venue.

First make sure your date or the time of year that you’re hoping for is available. Whether it’s a certain day of the week, or time of the year, like a fall wedding, you’ll want to make sure that the venue has that time available.

Ask what the access hours are on your day. We allow for a 6 hour block of time for your ceremony and reception and the timing of that is up to you. If you prefer an early morning event or late into the evening, we can make that happen. Need extra hours? We can work with you!

You and your vendors will have all day access to set up the Pavilion. And the bridal party will have full day access to the suites.

Ask how late can your party go? We don’t have a time constraint here. Want to party until 2 am – go for it!

Ask about the venues backup plan, especially for outdoor events. What does that look like if it’s too hot or raining? We are happy to work with you to make sure your backup plan is as successful as your original.

What’s included in the venue pricing? Are tables and chairs included? Make sure you ask to see them so you know they match your style. Included in our venue are white resin chairs for the ceremony and reception, round reception tables, floor length linen in white or ivory, and napkins in your color choice.

Ask if the venue requires specific requirements from the vendors you decide to bring in for the day of.
While we don’t have any vendor requirements, we do have a list of vendors we love working with. We’re happy to provide you a list!
